Stopped by Matador Redmond for happy hour - the prices were very reasonable, and the portion sizes were good for the cost. The ambience was good and the food came out quickly. Great spot if you’re looking for quality bites and drinks.

Glad to have found this Mexican restaurant. We tried the three course menu during Seattle Restaurant Week and were impressed. I finally found a place that serves good mole, and it is a must try. The drinks were good and potent. The habanero prawns were flavorful but far too spicy, which was the only downside. Service and atmosphere were fantastic.

You must have an ID to enter. Shrimp and Baja fish tacos are my most favorite. Been there many times and still crave this combo

We had Matador multiple times and the food quality is always good Service has been okay especially when they are busy, nobody stands in front desk and we have to keep waiting for several minutes until someone stops by to check in to get us seated. Coming to food, I like their enchiladas and chile releno. Their chips and salsa is always fresh!

The beef tacos were outstanding, featuring a well-balanced combination of soft brisket and perfectly crisp fried onions. The variety of accompaniments—salsas, guacamole, and pickled toppings—added both customization and depth to the overall dining experience. Even as a takeout order for a large group of 10–15 people, the food maintained its flavor and quality despite losing some heat during delivery. Service This visit was for takeout, so service cannot be fully evaluated. However, in previous dine-in experiences, the staff at Matador have been consistently attentive, professional, and welcoming, enhancing the overall dining experience. Atmosphere The restaurant’s atmosphere is one of its strong suits. With its warm, inviting design and vibrant yet comfortable energy, Matador is well-suited for a range of occasions—whether a small corporate gathering, a group of friends, or a casual night out. Value Pricing is on the higher side compared to standard Tex-Mex restaurants, but the quality of the food, the thoughtful preparation, and the ambiance make it a worthwhile choice for special gatherings or when the experience itself is a priority. We really liked this place! We had guacamole, carne asada tacos, fish tacos and beef enchiladas. All were very tasty and had good flavor. The one salsa was so good we ordered 8oz to take home. Our server was on it! So friendly, fast, & professional.
